Parenting Tip for Keeping Your Sanity

Keep your day flexible. Stop trying to get your newborn onto a schedule. There are many professionals out there that will tell you that your baby needs to sleep x amount a night, and during the day from this time to this time. Plus, you cannot leave the house for a mommy’s group (think baby sign language) because your baby should be sleeping.

STOP!!! Keep your day flexible. Watch your child’s cues. See what they are showing/signing to you. Watch your own needs. Keep hydrated, take your bio available vitamins and supplements. Drink lots of water and eat.

For goodness sake, eat!!! Everything else will fall into place. You are enough. You are doing amazing. You are awesome!

I hear you!! Your baby/ies are crying at the same time, and I want to curl up on the floor and cry with them. I get it mami, I really do. I have been there.

Literally, on the floor in a fetal position, crying my eyes out at 9:30am with NO help coming and three kids 5 and under crying and crying. THIS MOMENT WILL PASS, TOO. Hug them. Cry with them. Stay on the floor. Cry until you let go of all the hurt, sadness, and anxiety. And then start again. Know that you too will get through this as every single hard minute in the past.
